    1. delayed penalty

    delayed penalty
There are two possibilities for delayed penalty in ice hockey. First, a situation when one player of a team commits a penalty, but the other team has possession of the puck. The referee does not whistle down the play until the offending team regains control of the puck. And second, a penalty against a team that has only 4 players on ice (including a goalkeeper), assessed only when one of its players gets out of the penalty box.
